    • The British Art and Design Association is a UK registered Charity. [number 517826]


       

    • BADA was first registered in 1986 when based at Arena Studios in Liverpool where it established the then largest studio complex outside of London.


       

    • Its aim has always been to "develop and promote excellence in the visual arts".


       

    • To-date it has established and help establish studios and project spaces across the UK in Cardiff, St Ives Cornwall,  Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and several in London. It has also organised and encouraged creative projects locally, nationally and internationally including Berlin, Budapest, Venice, New York and Australia.


       

    • In recent years it has functioned through various challenging creative projects such as the 340 Old Street Project (Shoreditch London), and more recently STATELESS which has a Pan-European/International perspective.
